Lonely as a Mushroom Cloud began as a blog about a drunken, violent idiot’s wanderings in the post-apocalypse. Namely, in a heavily modified version of Fallout 3, where a young woman named Cass lived a short, painful, frequently rather embarassing life. It’s just like the real thing!
Now, her spirit lives on in others, as a series of attempts to survive and make a pretend living in a variety of game worlds. From the grotesquely engineered once-humans mining a moon of Jupiter in the far future, to a cold and desolate mountain land in on the brink of civil war, via the grey and grubby streets of not-New-York, her wandering, distinctly un-heroic cousins struggle on.
It’s a lot more fun than it sounds.
